Rangala Baby Home is an orphanage in Kenya that cares for children who's parents have died from HIV. In some cases the babies themselves have HIV too.
The children of parish are our invited to contribute coins to a special "children's collection" during Sunday Masses. All funds collected are sent directly to Sr Esther in Kenya who runs the orphanage. This "children helping children" concept was initially introduced into the parish by Fr Ken Keating in 2006, as a means of helping our children to become aware of the needs of others less fortunate, as well as the concepts of giving and sacrifice. To date the children of our parish have donated a grand total of $218,000!
