Social Justice Group
The social justice group is a small group who meet every 4th Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre. We have been operating for about a year, and try to help out with any problems that occur in our Parish regarding social justice issues. Anyone is welcome to attend and should just turn up at the meeting.
Rangala Baby Home
The parish contributes to the financial support of an orphanage in Kenya. The orphanage assists the children of parents who have died from AIDS. The orphanage is the Rang'ala Babies Home located in the Siaya District one of the poorest areas of Kenya.
This particular collection of money targets the children of our parish, and encourages them to give some of their money to assist these less fortunate children. Children take up a special collection towards the end of each weekend mass.
Since its inception in 2006, approximately $190,000 has been collected and sent directly to the home, as well as monies for specific projects as requested by Sr Esther.
